Why Topical Collagen Creams Don't Work
dermaroller vs collagen creams
At first glance, collagen creams seem very useful as collagen plays an important role in how the skin ages and is the support structure that gives our skin a firm, young appearance. When our collagen levels decline, our skin loses support and wrinkles begin to form.

It would seem that if we were to apply collagen cream to our skin, the skin should absorb the cream and be restored to its original state (without wrinkles, scars, stretch marks, and uneven skin). Unfortunately, collagen molecules are too large to enter the skin through normal topical applications (applied on the surface of the skin). Since the cream can not penetrate through the skin into the dermis, the cream (more than 99.7%) only stays idly on top of the skin only to be washed off when you take your next shower. This is why collagen creams only make good moisterizers, but will not help to strengthen your skin as the cream must be able to penetrate the dermis to repair the skin from the inside out.

Only by using the Derma Roller System will you be able to infuse these creams more deeply into your skin for new collagen structures to form within the skin's lower layers.
