How can Aftercare Improve the Results of Derma Rolling

Using products that can hydrate, heal and increase collagen synthesis will improve the results of derma rolling. For instance, collagen cream or sheet mask after derma rolling will be excellent options.

What Can be Expected After Microneedling?

After the procedure the skin would be slightly swollen and red for a couple of hours or less, much similar to sunburn.

Most people mistakenly see the slight swelling as a successful result of the procedure. However, that effect will fade away after a few days.

You will experience some redness (minor erythema) for 2 to 3 days after the procedure and it might lead to peeling of the skin. If that happens do not pick the skin but rather allow it to fall naturally on its own.

How Long Will it Take to Get Results?

Microneeding will not provide the results you seek overnight. You have to regularly follow the procedure with patience and persistent.

There will be some small improvements soon after the procedure, but big improvements would take as much as a few months. That is to see substantial improvement of your skin.

A well documented research shows that even 2 or 3 sessions of microneedling can lead to drastic improvement in wrinkling and acne scarring.
